These are based on photographs of rocks in Acadia National Park in Maine. I became fixated on the colors of the rocks, the moss and lichen that live on them, and the verdant sea and forest that surround them. The obsession went on for a while and strayed way past the rocks and into a much deeper mental space of color and shape. It was a lot of fun to make these, and it was hard to stop.
