Armadillo/Skunk Hour I
The Bishop/Lowell series continues, this time with a juxtaposition of two poems they dedicated to each other. Armadillo is on the left, Skunk Hour on the right, to reflect the order in which they were written, Lowell's in response to Bishop's.

Everything got ugly and complicated (unfinished)
It's been a while. Experimentation is leading to some very messy places that are not without symbolic freight.

Tower of Foil
More Prefab Sprout-inspired nonsense, again from "Bonny."
"All my life in a tower of foil.
Shaded feelings, I don't believe you."
Shaded feelings, I don't believe you."

Javelin Unlanding
Javelin Unlanding is a song by Bill Callahan, one of the great unsung poet heroes of our time. Lyrics posted at the bottom, versions of the painting posted from bottom to top.
Don't die just yet and leave me
Alone, alone, alone
On this journey round the sun
You looked like worldwide Armageddon while you slept
You looked so peaceful, you scare me
Don't die just yet and leave me
Alone, alone, alone
On this journey round the sun
And oh javelin, oh javelin unlanding
And oh javelin, oh javelin unlanding
Sometimes it's hard to know when to call it an evening
See as much as we can stand, stand 'til we stagger
Laying all twisted together and exposed like roots on a riverbank
Bam bam bam! The earth off its axis
The first draft's in ashes and smeared on our faces
Oh javelin, oh javelin unlanding
Oh javelin, oh javelin unlanding

Stained Glass
A progression. The latest version is at the top and the earliest iteration is at the bottom. The ones in the middle represent the steps through the process. I'm not at all sure this is done yet, but I think I know where it's going.
