Windows

All of these seem to share at least one thing in common. First they mimic something like a window in every case, in that there is some kind of internal framing, which forces the viewer to look "through" it somehow. But there is also a sense in which the "window" also function as either a present or absent heart, at the center or away from the center of the painting. I don't want to over-read my own daubs, but this is about as intentional as I get. 















Rivers, Tides, & Beaches

These are all variants on some version of an imaginary landscape/seascape, with bands for land, water, and sky in some form or another. They also double as yet more color experiments. But mostly because my heart and soul are always at the edge of the water, looking out, casting toward the horizon, exhaling...
